Welcome to Soft & Gentle Gospel Yoga! 
What is Soft & Gentle Gospel Yoga? And why should you try it?
It is a practice I designed to exercise and heal your mind, body, and spirit; to allow you to live your best life now and forever! It is based on the following Biblical scriptures:
Galatians 5:22 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control..." and
First Corinthians 6:19 & 20 - "Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."
This practice is also based on Spiritual (Agape') Love: a compassion for all humanity and God's creations.
I designed this holistic practice to encourage Christians to experience the benefits of yoga without the fear of losing their religion. Soft & Gentle Gospel Yoga is a holistic approach to decreasing pain, stress, tension & toxins of the mind, body & spirit. It is designed to improve flexibility, muscle tone, and posture. What happens during a session of Soft & Gentle Gospel Yoga?
During a Soft & Gentle Gospel Yoga practice I set the theme by leading inspirational discussions based on the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These 'fruit discussions' can be applied to mind, body, Spirit, life-style, speaking, thinking, listening, nutrition, and health-consciousness. The discussions end with each person speaking an affirmation out loud to the group.
After the 'fruit discussions', I gently guide my clients into yoga poses adjusted for their body, deep breathing exercises, and Godly meditation. The session ends by easing into five to ten minutes of relaxation. All of this is done with soothing, soft, and gentle gospel music in the background.
